The water industry’s top innovators and leaders gathered last month at the Stormwater WA Awards for Excellence Showcase and Networking Event, a highlight in the water sector calendar that celebrated excellence, innovation, and sustainability. Hosted at the Arup office in the CBD, this event highlighted outstanding contributions in asset management.
The showcase featured the ‘winner’ and ‘commended project’ within the ‘Excellence in Asset Management’ category. Presentations from both the City of Perth and the City of Gosnells focussed on their Subsoil Drainage and Smart Drainage Infrastructure projects respectively. Each spotlighting the commitment and expertise driving the water sector forward.
The event attracted a diverse group of attendees, including industry leaders, policy makers, researchers, and advocates. Many used the opportunity to network, share insights, and foster potential collaborations. “Events like this are vital for our water community,” said Rebecca Epworth, Stormwater WA President, “because they give us a chance to celebrate successes, discuss challenges, and inspire each other for the future.”
