This presentation, which was part of the Water Sensitive Cities Speaker Series, summarises the process and progress of the nutrient stripping trial, where solar power was used to pump nutrient rich water from Yangebup Lake through a treatment train. This water then flowed back into the lake. The project was funded by the City of Cockburn and NRM. This project resulted in reduced nutrient concentrations as well as decreased midge larvae densities. While there have been improvements on water quality, the results indicate nutrient levels still exceed the recommended ranges.
