WSUD Economics: The project results of a non-market value study

2222222

This presentation discusses the non-market value of WSUD assets, including living streams, native gardens, rainwater tanks, verge trees and other water sensitive practices. The difference each of these assets brings to house prices is stated within the presentation demonstrating a positive correlation between the presence of WSUD assets and increased property value.

Additionally, surveys were completed to assess the non-market values of the Swan River, referring to the cost of the river per person, per year. Other water related benefits within cities are mentioned such as decreased flash flooding, improved stream health and cooler temperatures. The financial benefits of these are estimated within this project.
