This presentation as part of the speaker series covers the IMG project of amending the soils at Bletchley Park. The challenges of this project include managing high groundwater levels, minimising the effects of legacy nutrients, managing nutrient mobilisation during subsoil agitation and urban water management.
The considered management options given the challenges were outlined, with the chosen solution detailed. This solution being treatment of subsoil surrounds with Iron Man Gypsum (IMG).
The second half of the presentation expands on the process undertaken on Bletchley Park to amend the soils as well as the extended monitoring of the site. Finally, the outcomes and recommendations for future projects are detailed included notes for IMG mixing pre-installation.
