A ‘One Planet Living’ approach prioritizes community, sustainability, and affordability. Innovative water management includes a community bore, rainwater harvesting, and stormwater infiltration, aiming for a 70% reduction in water consumption. Retrofitting a stormwater sump into public space showcases urban regeneration.

Despite challenges in water provision and stakeholder negotiations, WGV achieved significant milestones. Rooftop solar panels and passive solar design contribute to a 60% reduction in energy grid reliance, earning NatHERS seven-star ratings. Key Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) features, including the purple pipe system for non-drinking water distribution, highlight the project’s environmental commitment.
