The Perth City Link (PCL) project aims to reconnect Perth’s city centre with Northbridge, integrating water-sensitive stormwater management solutions. Raingardens integrated with street parking provide retention, filtration, and bio-remediation, enhancing biodiversity and urban aesthetics.

Key features include appropriate raingarden design, intercepting first flush events, and integrating with existing drainage systems. Safety measures, like trafficable ramps and stone kerbs, ensure public safety. The project promotes connectivity, providing functional and high-amenity spaces, aligning with the City of Perth’s standards. Custom seating integrated with raingardens enhances practicality and aesthetics. Reduced kerb heights and flush parking bays create a sense of spatial generosity and promote pedestrian-friendly environments.

Overall, the project showcases urban design innovations, leveraging local ecology and place-making principles to create vibrant, functional, and environmentally sustainable urban spaces.
