Online – Times in AEST

When we talk about climate change and natural disaster response and recovery, we talk about building resilient communities and infrastructure. But what about building resilient practitioners? Disaster management often relies on people with great skills and experience in their professional areas of practice, but with less experience in the day-to-day realities of intense and prolonged response and recovery events. In this webinar, we discuss what it could look and feel like to have a role in disaster response and recovery and delve into the importance of the psychological wellbeing and resilience of practitioners. Using real life examples and research, we will help practitioners be in a better place for the changing climate and their roles in prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery.
