Changing our behaviours to protect our waterways

Sediment-laden stormwater is detrimental to urban waterways and marine environments, limiting everyone’s ability to enjoy our beautiful South Australian coastline and beaches.

The lack of effective on-site sediment control during development construction is a major contributor to stormwater pollution and has consequences for the useful life of water sensitive urban design assets, with sediment clogging them ahead of their usual renewal period.

Enough is enough. We want to draw a line in the sand sediment!

Join us to gain an understanding of the current science on the source of sediment in urban environments, and methods to ensure best-practice sediment and erosion control. Our panel will then answer your questions about how we can better support industry and community to effectively manage sediment during the construction phase of major infrastructure, land divisions and homes to ensure our beautiful creeks and coastal environments are healthy, safe places that can be enjoyed by all.
