The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) released draft SPP 2.9: Planning for Water for public comment on 31 August 2021.
WALGA is currently preparing a submission and will host a webinar with Local Government planners, engineers and other officers with water related responsibilities, to discuss areas of potential concern and support for including in WALGA’s submission. The webinar will be held on 6 October 2021 from 2:00pm to 3:30pm. Registration is available here.
WALGA was a member of the policy review’s stakeholder reference group and many of the positions advocated for throughout this process are reflected in the draft policy. This webinar provides an opportunity for members to inform WALGA’s final submission on this policy review. The draft policy and guidelines are available here.
