This short course is designed to introduce participants to the basic principle of circular economy and understand the governance and spatial implication of the shift from a linear to a circular economy. The course is organised in two sessions. Each session includes a masterclass which introduces the participants to theoretical notions and the background of the circular economy concept and presents key tools essential to understanding the environmental impact of urban operations.
The masterclasses are paired with workshops which will provide a hands-on opportunity to reflect on implementing the principles of reduction, reuse and recycling in the built environment context. Further, the participants will be called to explore how to implement these principles in practical settings.
