IPWEA WA and Young IPWEA invite you to join us at our “Meet the Mentor Mix n Mingle” networking event.
University Students and Student Members: Come along and learn about the public works industry. Meet mentors that can help you on your journey as you transition from University into the workforce. Sign up for (free) Student Membership here.
Young IPWEA Members (35 and under), and Members new to the industry: Are you new to the Public Works Industry? Are you changing roles within your organisation but aren’t sure where to start? Do you need someone to contact for independent advice to assist you in your role? Do you have a goal to get to a senior position but aren’t sure how to reach it? We can help!
Senior & Retired Members: Become a Mentor! You have the advantage of years of experience – share practical advice, lessons learnt and other tips to help our Young IPWEA members on their journey to becoming industry leaders.
From entering the workforce, through to becoming a leader in Senior role, this event will allow you to build and strengthen relationships that can help you in all areas throughout your working life.
The aim of this event is to link up Student Members, Young Members and Members new to the industry with Senior Members in an informal setting for an exchange of information in an initial meeting to make everyone comfortable, and then for the Mentors and Mentees to exchange details and arrange their own catch ups from then on.
This cocktail style event will allow potential Mentors & Mentees to connect in a relaxed setting over a few drinks and some canapes. By encouraging everyone to “mix n mingle” over the course of the evening it will be possible for Mentees to create and strengthen ties with multiple Mentors who will be able to assist them on their career pathways.
