Heatwaves, bushfires, storms, and floods pose challenges to communities, especially when these events occur together or in sequence, or compound, amplifying their impacts. The soon-to-be-released report, Understanding Future Climate Risk – Co-Designed Applications for Local Decision-Making, offers a fresh, practical approach to navigating these complex risks.
Funded by the National Emergency Management Authority, developed by the University of Tasmania and supported by the NESP Climate Systems Hub, the report showcases how narrative-based, co-designed climate scenarios, grounded in both science and lived experience, can help local decision-makers turn climate information into meaningful, place-based action.
