Free Family Discovery Morning
Maintaining plant diversity in our coastal reserves, both onshore and offshore, depends on the presence of pollinators and the success of the pollination process. While the role of insects and birds is well known by most people, pollination by wind and water is often overlooked but is equally important in ensuring a rich biodiversity.
Family Discovery Day is a small community event that celebrates the diversity and pollinators for the Iluka Foreshore, featuring displays, talks, walks and a workshop aimed at increasing the public’s knowledge of pollinators and all four types of pollination.
