Join us at the annual WALGA Aboriginal Engagement and Reconciliation Forum, themed Kanan – Dhabagarn – Wabirriny (Truth – Justice – Healing). The forum provides a fantastic opportunity to discuss leading initiatives between Local Governments and their Aboriginal communities, that support reconciliation and a better shared future for all.
The forum aims to support Local Governments to provide the strong leadership, and establish and grow the collaborative partnerships, necessary for positive change. Key focuses will be acknowledging dark histories, raising the voice of Aboriginal people in decision making processes, achieving equality and increasing cultural learning and practices.
