Round One of the Urban Greening Grant Program is now open. Local Governments in the Perth and Peel regions are eligible to apply for $1.11 million in funding to support additional tree and understorey planting in 2024.
The program is funded by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) and delivered by WALGA. The program will expand tree canopy and vegetative cover in high urban heat areas to help address the impacts of climate change, provide for biodiversity and improve the liveability of neighbourhoods.
