The PLAWA State Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Perth from Wednesday the 9th to Friday the 11th of November 2022. Our 2022 theme, WHAT’S THE FUTURE? CONNECT, SHARE, INSPIRE will explore how the parks and leisure industry in Western Australia is so much more than leisure facilities, community sports and parks. The people behind these places are creative, responsive, imaginative, and resourceful practitioners. The Conference aims to further working relationships and learning in the interest of stronger parks and leisure industries, focusing on presenting, and discussing unique approaches, research, real practice and emerging trends. With six streams (Plan & Design, Manage, Activate, Measure, Participate and Recreate) across three days, we have an informative program of speakers, breakout sessions, workshops, technical tours, social events and trade exhibitions.
