To celebrate and commemorate National Reconciliation Week, Australian Water Association is hosting a webinar next Friday, 29 May called Talking Water Together.
To give you some background, National Reconciliation Week runs from 27 May to 3 June every single year. These dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey — the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision, respectively.
During the free webinar next week, you’ll get to hear from Jason B King, Principal Aboriginal Advisor at Resources, Forestry & Game on recognising and managing for Aboriginal values.
Following a 10-minute Q&A session, you’ll hear from the NT Branch President, Eric Vanweydeveld on a project he’s dedicated a lot of his time to: Talking Water.
Talking Water is a video series, funded by AWA and WSAA, to capture and promote indigenous water knowledge, stories and thoughts from the past and present, along with a vision for the future.
