Connecting communities with water sensitivity

A Community Day
Friday, 21 April 2 – 4 pm
Banks Reserve, Joel Terrace Mt Lawley

Bring the kids and come down to chat with local and national experts in water sensitivity. You will see a range of presentations on the Australian Water Outlook and findings from the Cooperative Research Centre for Water Sensitive Cities.

We will have displays of water sensitive city landscape designs, practical sessions on how to build a biofilter and activities for the kids including:

  • a colouring in competition –  Click here to download the poster and bring it on the day or colour in while you enjoy the sunshine!
  • how to make take home tube stock with herbs and native plants – guided by SERCUL
  • macro-invertebrate sampling and identification activity run by SERCUL

And for the big kids (adults) – bring your best engineering knowledge for the Team WSUD Engineering challenge. Can you demonstrate WSUD principles and build a solution to our problem in only 15 mins? Who knows more about managing water quantity and quality in a miniature catchment? Only $25 per team of 2 to 4 people. Enter here

There will be a coffee van and ice cream truck to cater for your afternoon tea needs.
