Water Corporation supports Kimberley through new COVID-19 Community Relief Fund

The Water Corporation has launched a one-off round of grants to support not-for-profit organisations and community groups across the Kimberley that have been financially impacted by COVID-19.

Grants of up to $10,000 are available through the COVID-19 Community Relief Fund, which is an extension of the Kimberley Community Grants Scheme, delivered by the Water Corporation and the Lions Club of Broome.

To find out how to apply for a grant and eligibility criteria for the COVID-19 Community Relief Fund, visit the Water Corporation’s website at http://www.watercorporation.com.au/kcgrants

Applications for the COVID-19 Community Relief Fund close at 4pm (AWST) on Friday June 5, 2020.

Funding for grants is generated by the sale of Rhodes Grass hay, which is produced by the Water Corporation as an environmentally friendly way of disposing of Broome’s recycled wastewater.

Since 2016, the Kimberley Community Grants Scheme has provided $185,807 back to the community, funding 30 projects across the Kimberley.
