| City of Armadale The City of Armadale is located in Perth’s South East Corridor and is currently experiencing rapid urban growth on the Swan Coastal Plain portion of the City, much of which has high water tables or is seasonally waterlogged. It is expected that over the next decade over 15,000 lots will be created on the Swan Coastal Plain portion of the City. The City is a signatory to a Memorandum of Understanding between the City and relevant state government agencies wherein the City commits to encourage innovation in urban design and public open space to meet the intent of an Urban Water Management Strategy prepared for the development area. The City has also committed to assisting with capacity building in the region and is a partner in the Monash University’s National Urban Water Governance Program which is researching institutional barriers, institutional capacity building and transformative organisational change to achieve a sustainable urban water future. |
